The goal of Recyclart.org is to bring you good products that are made from recycling, reusing, upcycling, etc. It’s meant to be a portfolio of ideas to inspire you to create your own art and useful products by repurposing stuff that may have reached the end of it’s previously useful life. Below is a list (with links) of recent interesting projects. Posts all include many pictures.

If you’re in the Champaign-Urbana area and are looking for a local source of inspiration, I suggest the I.D.E.A. Store, which is a treasure trove of materials for projects large or small. The store accepts donations (list is here, although I’ve seen a wide variety of materials best classified as “other” on my visits to the store). Some materials are sold by the pound and other by the piece. Prices generally range from $.01 to about $5. There are a few items priced higher. I think the highest I’ve seen is $25. Sales benefit the C-U Schools Foundation.
